Fund Raising

Critteraid undertakes a number of fundraising activities on an annual basis. Over the years we have explored a number of money making avenues and we are very proud of our yearly endeavours to raise funds for the animals in our care.

Twice a year we host the best garage sales and welcome all sorts of items throughout the year for the Spring and the Fall sales.

Our market teams sell a number of our craft items created by our wonderful volunteers and show our wares at public markets in Penticton. Our Donation Tins continue to provide us with coins on an on-going basis and we are grateful to the merchants who display our tins on their store counters.

In 2004/2005, we embarked on a special fundraiser called "Let Them Eat Cake" whereby subscribers paid a fee for six months for a home-baked cake a month. This campaign paid for boarding of two very special dogs while their owner was in and out of hospital before she passed away.

The Cherry Lane Shopping Centre hosts their annual Charity Bazaar every October and we are proud to have been showing off the baking of our members since 1992!

Sometimes, our volunteers undertake special fundraising projects of their own like Holly's "Coins for Critteraid" campaign.

Want to win a large basket filled with goodies of all sorts? Buy the tickets for our raffles which are held two or three times each year.

Looking for antiques and collectibles? You can find them in Critteraid's section at The Carousel shop in Summerland.

Cookie Walk: Always the first Saturday in December, this fundraiser is for our CDART division and coordinated by Jane Curtin. What an awesome event this is. We are generously hosted by the Penticton Lakeside Resort in the hotel lobby and the trays and trays of colourful and unbelievably smelling cookies just attract people over to the tables. In fact, this year we had people waiting for us to open so we know we have tried and true customers from previous years. If you can bake for us, please email us at info@critteraid.org and we'll add you to our list.
